Despite the show having been off the air for many years and fading into obscurity, the tie-in website has been almost completely preserved after all this time, presumably because its production company, Joella Productions, hasn't technically been dissolved according to the UK Government's
Companies House, and still has to file accounts despite being inactive since 2011.
Basically, the website is just a brief rundown of the overall concept of the show, including characters and locations. According to an old version of the company's website, they apparently had big plans for the future, including further seasons of Ernie and the possibility of more TV series - which never materialised.
